MEMBER CLUBS

If you are new to our community or just new to the YWCA Darien/Norwalk, we invite you to join the YWCA Newcomers Club which has been especially designed to help you get to know your community and the YWCA. Includes participation in social events and book club.

Born out of our Newcomers Club, Playgroups was developed as a way for parents and caregivers to connect with families of similarly-aged children. Groups explore our community’s public spaces and play areas, while providing a way for parents and children to socialize together throughout the school year.

A playgroup for families raising children with different support needs and abilities, we aim to provide the children of members with an opportunity to socialize and connect through play, while also creating a space for parents to engage in peer support and community building, with options for parents-only meet-ups.

If you have an international background or interest, club members include citizens of countries from around the world, Americans who have lived abroad, and others who are seeking to broaden their understanding of the world and how others live. Includes participation in a variety of educational and social events and book club.

A social club for those who have aged out of Newcomers, are empty nesters, parent of older kids, returning to work or flying solo.  Offering connection through community; for lifelong residents and anyone in between

The YWCA’s popular Winetasters Club was born out of our mission to create stronger communities.  We are excited to offer our beloved Winetasters to our Beyond Newcomers Club this year for the first time!

Groups of up to 10 Beyond Newcomers club members gather on designated evenings to taste selected wines and share suggested appetizers that pair with the wine. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary.

Membership to the YWCA is required to become a member of the Beyond Newcomers Winetasters Club.

If you are a working woman, whether employed outside of the home or consulting/freelance including those currently unemployed or considering workforce re-entry, NOWW connects you with other working women. Includes participation in our very popular automated mailing list, social events and Saturday Playgroups.
