The YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) is dedicated to helping women build confidence and skills in areas that support long-term stability — including financial literacy, career development, digital proficiency, and workplace readiness.
For Fall 2025, we’re excited to offer a special 6-week session focused entirely on financial topics. This series will give participants the tools and confidence to manage money more effectively, plan for the future, and make informed financial decisions.
Who:
This session is designed for women in Fairfield County who want to strengthen their financial skills and feel more in control of their money. Whether you’re creating a budget for the first time, paying down debt, saving for a big goal, or starting to explore investing, this series will give you practical steps and a clear roadmap forward.
What We’ll Cover:

Intro to Financial Literacy, Saving - Learn the foundations of money management and set SMART financial goals.

Credit & Debt - Understand how credit works, improve your credit health, and create a strategy to manage debt.

Expenses & Budgeting - Hands-on budget building with practical strategies to track expenses and make smarter everyday money choices.

Long term Saving & Investing - Gain confidence by learning the basics of investing and how to get started.

Planning for Life’s Big Decisions - From major purchases to estate planning, learn how to make smart choices through life’s big moments.

Building your Personal Financial Roadmap - Bring together everything you’ve learned to create a personalized action plan for your financial future.

Thursdays, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Starting Oct 16th, 2025 for 6 weeks
Where: YWCA Darien/Norwalk, 49 Old Kings Highway North, Darien CT

Structure
- Cohorts of 10-15 participants.
- 6 weeks, 2 hour classes. Additional modules may be run subsequent to this session completion.
- Classes conducted in Darien (In Person ONLY)
- Free to all participants
