February 25th

Join us for an exploration of the Rockin' Rhone! Wine expert Tyler Colman will lead the online session, tasting two wines, a white and a red. Both the wines are from family estates, certified organic, from the excellent 2019 vintage, and offer extremely compelling value. The wines are available at Leary's Liquor Cabinet.  Wines are available for purchase at Leary's in Darien.  They are Clos Bellane, Cotes du Rhone blanc 2019 & Laurent Fayolle, "Hauterives," Crozes-Hermitage, 2019.

Teens often have a hard time talking about their relationships, and might not have the ability to describe whether there is equality or healthy communication in their relationship. Sometimes it is easier to talk about how their relationships make them feel.

February's Parenting Book Club pick is Unselfie: Why Empathetic Kids Succeed in Our All-about-Me World by Michele Borba.  You may borrow the book from the Darien Library by placing a hold for the book on our website or buying your own copy from Barrett Bookstore.

Join the YWCA in partnership with Baywater Properties for a night of friendship, fun, and wine! Wine expert Tyler Colman will lead a tasting of a selection of wines perfect for your warm cozy nights by the fire and beyond.  There is no charge for this, but you must be a current YWCA member.  Wines will be available to purchase at Leary's prior to the event.

January Conversations

Watch "The Social Dilemma" then join a guided conversation that picks up where the film left off. Discuss together how to advance the humane tech movement.  Discussions will take place on January 13th at 8 p.m. & January 14th at 10 a.m.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the YWCA will be  LIGHTING THE NIGHT to Stand Against Domestic Violence and recognize and support the silent victims, survivors and lost lives in our community.  Please Check back for more info on Luminary Night 2021.
