Empowerment Lights 2026

On Saturday, October 24th, join neighbors, businesses, and organizations across our community by placing lights outside, in windows, or on porches as a show of solidarity with victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Each bag includes 10 lights. We encourage neighborhoods to designate block captains to coordinate purchase and pickup for their neighborhood.

The YWCA uses proceeds from Empowerment Light purchases to make welcome baskets for those moving into safe housing through the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.

Light pick up times and locations to be provided closer to the date.

How it works: Enter your street name below, then check the dropdown to see if your street has a Block Captain. If your street is listed, your Block Captain can distribute your lights to you. If your street isn’t listed, please select pickup at the YWCA.
