Growing Up Today: Teen Voices on Relationships & Connection
October 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
As part of YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s annual Week Without Violence, YWCA Parent Awareness, the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC), Darien Depot and Thriving Youth are partnering to give parents and caregivers a window into the relationships and pressures teens are navigating today.
Using anonymous feedback from local teens, this Parent Awareness program will explore what young people wish adults understood about their relationships, social media, communication, and the realities of growing up in today’s world. Together, we’ll look at ways parents and caregivers can bridge the gap, recognize the dynamics of healthy relationships, build trust, and create stronger lines of communication with the young people in their lives.
Our goal is for teens to feel heard and understood—and for parents and caregivers to leave with practical tools to foster healthier relationships and deeper connections with their children. Parents and teens are encouraged to attend together.
