Week Without Violence: Documentary Film Virtual Townhall w/Director Isabella Grace Cohn

This year’s campaign will be anchored by the documentary Watch You Rise, directed by Isabella Grace Cohn and produced by Marina Hunt and Elizabeth Woodward. The film explores the lasting impact of sexual violence across generations while offering a powerful examination of resilience, healing, and collective responsibility.

As part of Week Without Violence, YWCA USA will host a national virtual event on Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. featuring clips from the film and a live conversation with the filmmakers, creating opportunities for communities to explore critical questions about safety, justice, healing, and the systemic changes needed to end gender-based violence.

Watch You Rise focuses on the experiences of survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence and contains sensitive discussions of trauma, abuse, and recovery. Viewer discretion is advised.
