Join us for an engaging discussion to learn practical tools to help your child or teen athlete. Student athletes try to meet a lot of expectations, and often the internal belief that they must “perform” in every area of life. When pressure piles up, kids can start to feel anxious, irritable, exhausted, or stuck, even if they love their sport.
The good news is that mental strength isn’t something you’re either born with or not. It’s a set of skills you build over time. And for student athletes, the most sustainable confidence comes from learning to win from within: focusing on what they can control, recovering well, and staying connected to who they are beyond a scoreboard.
This discussion will be led by Carrie Potoff, LCSW and Rhodie Lorenz, M. Ed.
